Traces of Children
Suburbia is full of children you rarely actually see, but their traces are everywhere once you look. Chalk drawings fading on a drive, a trampoline rising over a fence, a basketball hoop bolted above a garage, a scooter dropped mid-lawn, a single lost glove pushed onto a railing by a passer-by. Photograph the evidence rather than the child.
Look for: the objects left behind, the marks and the toys, the abandoned game frozen where it stopped. No children in frame are needed, which keeps the project simple and considerate.
f/8, tight on the details. Watch the light on pale surfaces.
